Power Pilates Also Includes Certification As An Instructor


Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates to assist sports people and actors with their training. He also developed methods to help people recover from injury during his period of internment. Power Pilates teaches you how to do Pilates and has been going since the late 1980's. In the late 1990's they were given the rights and go ahead to provide certification classes.

Due to the nature of Power Pilates, there is an evident demand for good quality qualified instructors to help students of these exercise methods learn Pilates. There are now thousands of qualified Pilates instructors.

With regard to Pilates itself, there are hundreds of possible exercises you can learn and perform, but only a finite amount of time to learn and practice them. Therefore in order to be an instructor you have to be really dedicated as it requires more than just learning a few basic movements. Knowing how to use and incorporate these successfully into a program will enable you to provide your potential clients with a workout that is worthwhile and beneficial.

Power Pilates is run by a man called Dr. Howard Sichel. He is the founder of the company. They use many years of experience and have presences in numerous locations in New York, Chicago and California.

They will show you the exercises and underlying principles and the system that will show you what Power Pilates is all about. You won't feel like it is all too much for you as it is presented in a way that is not overwhelming. This experience will better equip you when the time comes to instruct your own clients.

Once an instructor has received cerification he/she will be in a position to teach the exercises and give their clients a good understanding of the whole thing as a package in itself. Pilates is an art form, so you need to know what each move does for your body to fully appreciate and understand the benefits of what you are doing.
